Banter with: Morgan & Nic
How did he/she propose?
Nic proposed at sunset at Floreat beach. One of our favourite traditions in Perth was sunset at the beach on a Sunday. Nic suggested dinner at Odyssea one weekend and then on the day he said lets go a bit early and watch the sunset. We sat in the back of the car overlooking the ocean like we normally would, and then he got out his laptop!! I was a bit confused and wondered if he'd made a powerpoint presentation to convince me of reasons to marry him haha. (I was pretty sure the proposal was coming as we'd had the ring made together). But he had made a beautiful video of our time together. I basically sobbed watching the whole thing. Then we went down onto the beach, Nic said a few lovely words and popped the question! And of course I said yes :)
What unique elements or DIY details did you include?
Nic made the video with lots of photos of our time together with sweet captions and set to 'Photograph' by Ed Sheeran and 'Can't help falling in love;' by Elvis. When we got home after dinner that night I found he had sneakily set up some amazing flowers, chocolates and framed photos of us (he did this by pretending he'd forgotten his phone and quickly running back into the house while we were on our way out).
What did you envision your wedding being prior to planning?
Our earliest chats about what our wedding would be (pre-engagement I think!) involved a simple ceremony and a party at home!! So very different to how it has turned out. I think our circumstances just evolved over time, particularly with our move to Sale, meaning that we went a more traditional route for the wedding.
