Getting Ready

It’s important for us to capture the whole story of your special day and that starts with you both getting ready with the bridal party. Because there are two of us, we can be in two places at once, capturing both the bride and groom getting ready.

Seeing the start of the day can bring back so many memories from the day that couples often forget because of how busy the rest of the day can be. It’s also a great time to get to know each other and capture many special moments, including the cute locations you’re staying.

Arriving at the Ceremony

When the bride leaves the car and is walking down the aisle, we will have co-ordinated the best positions beforehand. One of us will usually follow the bride and capture the grooms reaction while the other will be up front capturing the bride’s expression.

We can capture the important parts of the ceremony like the vows and first kiss in addition to emotional reaction portraits of your family and friends in the crowd.

Family Portraits

It may be surprising to know from what we’ve learned over the years that not many people like to have their photo taken and, at this point in the day, just want to mingle and have a drink and bite to eat. But we know that family photos can be some of the most important of the day. It is a rare time that everyone is together.

We work as a team to get all the family members together with one photographer taking the family photos while the other helps to arrange them in a way that looks balanced and pleasing to the eye. This helps to speed up the entire process so that we can get your family and friends off to feast on canapés and you off to your portraiture shoot much sooner.

Bridal Party Portraits

Your portraits are where we as photographers get to make use of our creative fashion background to make everyone look amazing, together with our experience shooting portraiture.

We know having cameras pointed at you all day can be daunting and uncomfortable, that’s why we always aim to make this time of day fun and relaxed. It’s a great break in the day to spend time with your bridal party before meeting everyone again at the reception. 

The Reception

Finally we arrive at the reception where everyone gets to let their hair down, put their dancing shoes on and celebrate your big day.

The moment you walk into the room, we will be capturing you both and the guests from two perspectives. During the speeches there are so many photo opportunities to capture. All the emotion and tears from heartfelt words of fatherly advice to the laughs and cringing that your best man has up his sleeve lend themselves to really great moments.
